Michael S. Lurie, CPA
President

Michael started his career with Lurie & Co., CPAs, P.C. in 1999 and became managing partner of the firm in 2010. Prior to this, he worked for J.P. Morgan, Inc. in New York City as a Senior Accountant in their proprietary positioning department. During his career with Lurie & Co., CPAs, P.C., Michael has continued the high quality of work and high standards of customer service that his father envisioned when he founded the firm in 1988. Michael has continued this legacy in the fields of accounting, tax, and financial advisory.
Michael, who grew up in Albany, NY, has a strong bond to his community having served and currently serving as a trustee on the boards of several not for profit organizations. Michael lives in Slingerlands, NY with his wife Melissa, an epidemiologist with the New York State Department of Health and his sons Paul and Jack.
Michael graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego and is a certified public accountant licensed in New York State.
